At the Hollywood Premiere of The Mechanic starring Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone had this to say to CNN regarding Expendables 2:

"We're at work on it, Because you have about five different scenarios, and you try to figure out which one will work the best: what area, the kind of stunts, and most important, what is the heart of the film? What is the reason for the mission instead of just guys running around — some purpose. That's the hard part."

He also jokingly ( well he better be joking anyway) had this to say about Jason Statham's role in the sequel:

“Unfortunately, Jason has a terrible accident in the first scene and we just talk about him for the next two hours," he says. "He doesn't know that yet, so don't break it to him.”

The Mechanic hits theaters January 28th.

Darryl of Barrie's Rock95 radio station has posted a great article with videos that provide us with the reason for the beginning of the feud between Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal. Apparently it all began at Sly's house way back in 1997.....CHECK IT ALL OUT HERE!!!

As we all know, Jean-Claude Van Damme reportedly has stated he will not appear in Expendables 2 if Steven Seagal is part of the cast. I think the demand is completely insane and if Sly needed anymore reason to NOT HAVE Van Damme appear, then there is his justification. Grow up Van Damme and learn to get along or get lost. Anyways, now that I have that rant out of the way. MovieWeb has posted an interview which they conducted with Jason Statham and Ben Foster, who both star in the new action film The Mechanic opening January 28th. In the interview Jason Statham gave his two cents about the reported demands of Mr. Van Damme. You can check out what he had to say in the video below.

Ringside Report released a story today stating that Sylvester Stallone is set to film Expendables 2 with the majority of the cast set to return with Bruce Willis in a larger role. They don't however provide any source for their story and I'm not sure whether this is actual BREAKING NEWS as they claim or they just caught up on the news the majority of us are already aware of. If this is an actual official announcement more news sites will be picking it up so stand by for the time being and we'll update you when we know more.

Interviewed at the Golden Globes by Access Hollywood, Bruce Willis had this to say regarding Expendables 2 and his involvement:

“Apparently it’s going to happen this year… As far as I know, barring any unforeseen circumstances, but yeah, I would love to be a part of it.”

I wish we could just get Sly to come out and SAY IT, but at this point I think this as close as were going to get to a confirmation that Bruce Willis is on board for Expendables 2.

Meanwhile, it looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger will for sure be getting back into the acting game, TheArnoldFans.Com is reporting Arnold is currently considering three different scripts, one of which is WITH WINGS AS EAGLES which ArnoldFans describes as:

"written by Randall Wallace (Braveheart, We Were Soldiers fame) is based on the true life story about a German officer who does not agree with his surrounding Nazi party and instead helps the American POWs escape."

Sounds good Arnold, but take a role in Expendables 2 FIRST!!

In an interview with COLLIDER.COM, Jason Statham revealed he is keeping his future schedule open so that he may appear in Expendables 2, all he's waiting for is the call from Sly. Statham expects production on the sequel to get going within the next few months, the last I heard was a possible start in April.

According to an interview conducted by WorstPreviews with Director Sheldon Lettich who directed Jean-Claude Van Damme in the film Double Impact, Van Damme is willing to join Expendables 2 but ONLY IF STEVEN SEAGAL IS NOT PART OF THE CAST. If this is true, it just furthers my wish TO NOT HAVE Van Damme on board. I'm not really for or against having Steven Seagal in Expendables 2, but I am against actors making ludicrous demands like that. Be a professional. Besides, Van Damme already turned down Sly once, SCREW HIM. I know a lot of you want him in the film but I'd much rather have an actor WHO HAS A REAL DESIRE to be in the film, not someone who has demands to be met.

Lastly, apparently Mickey Rourke is on the shortlist to be nominated for Razzies for Worst Supporting Actor for his roles in Iron Man 2 and The Expendables....REALLY? Rourke's contributions to both films were exceptional.

Now that the Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger has completed his 7 year term as Governor of California, he says a return to films is possible but he's not fully committing to anything just yet. Let's just hope a much larger role in Expendables 2 kicks off Part 2 of his potential film career!! You can check out a full article on the matter HERE!!

Canadian fans of Arnold Schwarzenegger also have something to be excited about, Arnold will be going on a speaking tour through Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal and Toronto later this month!! More details can be found HERE!! You can follow Arnold on TWITTER @Schwarzenegger!!

Lynn Tackitt @pvtgiggles, has begun a petition to get Sean Patrick Flanery (Boondock Saints, SAW 3D) added to the cast of Expendables 2. If you'd be in favor, head HERE and give her petition your support!!
