TheArnoldFans via ShowBizSpy is reporting that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are sticking together through Arnold's difficult time as he works through his issues with his family. I'd expect to hear nothing less, Sly and Arnold have been friends for years and despite Arnold's troubles, I fully expected Sly to support him as a friend. We all know what Arnold did was extremely wrong but I respect that he is finally owning up to what he's done and trying to work through it. A source close to Sly had the following to say:

"Sly and Arnie have been friends for a long time, Arnold has made mistakes and he's hurting but he has a good network of people like Sly helping him through it and supporting him in rebuilding his life. Sly has even talked about a project he and Arnold may work on together once he's ready. It's a movie that may actually draw on some of what Arnold is going through and the mistakes he's made."

Sly and Arnold together on screen? I know we are all there be it an action, drama or comedy. Here's hoping it's at least an action drama :)!!

Ain't It Cool News is reporting it and Sylvester Stallone and Director Walter Hill don't want it but apparently Warner Bros, the studio behind the upcoming action thriller Headshot, want Thomas Jane replaced as the co-male lead in order to get someone more 'ethnic' in the role. What a load of crap! Thomas Jane will be awesome kicking ass alongside Sly and there is absolutely NO WAY he should be replaced. I have absolutely nothing against any ethnicity, this is all about supporting the guy who already has the role and deserves to have the role. Wake Up Warner Bros!! Here's hoping Sly, Walter and Thomas come out on top on this one. What do you guys think?

I missed this, but back on May 23rd the site Gordon And The Whale released an EXTENDED description of the plot for Expendables 2 which Sylvester Stallone told StalloneZone was FAKE. While the plot may have changed it is possible elements of the below plot may still be in the official plot when its released. For pure curiosity sake why not check out the plot below? We shall wait and see what actually comes to pass. A special thanks to Gordon And The Whale for providing it!!

Stallone, Statham, Rourke, Lundgren, Couture and Crews return as hard-edged but  noble mercenaries in the second installment of Sylvester Stallone's old-school action thriller, The Expendables.

As payback for taking out the corrupt CIA agent Monroe (Eric Roberts) in the first Expendables, cagey Agent Church (Bruce Willis) forces the Expendables to do an "easy mission": retrieve a missing CIA package from Gazak, a civil war torn country in Easter Europe.

The easy mission turns deadly when the Expendables are ambushed by a team of ruthless rival mercs, the Sangunaires, competing to get the same package. Tool (Mickey Rourke), the heart and souleof the Expendables, is brutally murdered by Vilain, the leader of the bloodthirsty guns for hire. Still, the Expendables manage to pull of the mission and return with the CIA package, but it's a hollow victory.

As their thoughts turn from grief to revenge, Tool's beautiful young daughter Fiona shows up. Cut from the same stone as her dad, she wants to join the Expendables when they hunt down Vilain and his men. Barney (Stallone) promises her the Expendables will avenge Tool's death, but will not risk putting his best friend's daughter in harm's way.

Fiona, who is young and wile, embarks on her own revenge mission, complicating matters for Barney when she is captured and ransomed by VIlain. Now Barney and the expendables must risk everything to save her, kidnapping CIA Agent Church and pulling off a daring heist of the CIA package they were hired to bring back.

When Agent Church reveals why the CIA package is so valuable to Vilain, the stakes go up even higher. Inside the package are canisters of radioactive cesium which Vilain has been tasked with releasing on the people's uprising that threatens the thirty  year rule of Gazak's vicious dictator, President Dogot.

The Expendables, along with Agent Church, are now faced with an impossible mission: rescue Fiona, foil a dictator's vicious plot to kill scores of innocent people, and avenge the death of one of their own.

If anyone out there is seeking artwork featuring Sylvester Stallone I know just the man to go to. Bill Pruitt, through his website and E-Bay, offers EXCELLENT and AFFORDABLE artwork that no Stallone fan should be without. STALLONE HIMSELF is a collector of his work. I recently ordered several of Bill's prints and was EXTREMELY happy with them!! Be sure to check out his website HERE or E-Bay store HERE!!

On Monday May 30th, The channel EPIX is premiering The Expendables: The Extended Cut which promises more scenes never before seen in the theatrical release. I'm not sure if this is the Director's Cut that Sylvester Stallone mentioned he was working on last fall but according to the teaser below he is 'Presenting' it, so its a definite possibility. You can check out the official site for the event HERE and the preview for it below courtesy of VanDammeFanz!!!

If you've been watching or reading entertainment news over the past few days then you know all about the trouble surrounding Arnold Schwarzenegger and his family. I won't get into it here, this site isn't about that. I will just say I hope everyone involved can work out everything as best as humanly possible given the situation.

What we can take out of all this though is that Arnold is now HIGHLY unlikely to appear in Expendables 2. An announcement was made today by Arnold's office that reads as follows:

"Gov. Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines," the statement said. "This includes 'Cry Macho,' the 'Terminator' franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Gov. Schwarzenegger decides."

So for now, NO films are in Arnold's immediate future. It's totally understandable as Arnold has more then enough on his plate to deal with.

Movie Mavericks is reporting that they have been in contact with Jean-Claude Van Damme's talent agent, Brett Norensberg, who had this to say about Van Damme's 'casting' in Expendables 2:

“Sheldon misled you unfortunately; I do not even have an offer for JCVD to do Expendables 2.  I am sorry; I believe Sheldon didn’t understand this himself.”

The Sheldon being referred to is Sheldon Lettich, the man who originally broke the story. Sheldon is Van Damme's friend and the man who directed him in such films as Double Impact and Lionheart. All of this information needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Jean-Claude Van Damme may end up being in Expendables 2, its a very strong possibility, just don't take anything as fact just yet.

This news is a few days old, it actually came out the same day as the plot for Expendables 2, hence my reluctance to post it after I discovered the released Expendables 2 plot was fake. I've heard no debunking of this plot though so here you have it folks, the detailed plot for Headshot starring Sylvester Stallone and Thomas Jane courtesy of What's Playing?!!!

Jimmy Bobo (Stallone) and his partner Louis are cocky, proficient assassins (think Vincent and Jules in Pulp Fiction - they waffle on about anything and everything pre and post job; take killing all in stride). When the film opens the duo are sent to pop a congressman - who, of course, is mid-spank with a woman-for-hire half-his-age - and do so with ease.
We quickly discover Jimmy and Louis are ‘Okay’ - they’re only prepared to take out the person they’re paid to take out (Jimmy especially is “getting soft”).. and if you’re an innocent, pretty young thing, they’ll make sure you get out of a hothouse alive. Which is what happens.

Officer Eric Carlisle (Jane), a workaholic tin man, hits the murder scene [of the congressman] - and quickly discovers that he’s not needed; when a high-ranking government official is murdered it’s the FBI’s terrain. He’ll, of course, get involved anyway.

Carlisle quickly gets another assignment - and again, related to our assassin pals. Hitman Louis is assassinated at a casino - by a square-jawed military man-type, Keegan. Jimmy, unfortunately, was in the John at the time.

Assassin and Cop meet for the first time at the morgue - Jimmy exiting after slapping some shiny now shoe’s on his late partner’s body.

It’s at a local bar that Jimmy and Carlisle meet formally and, upon realizing they can be of assistance to one another, reluctantly agree to partner up in the hunt for the bad guys. Oh, the bad guys? Fat pigs… politician types. with sharpshooters on their payroll. And tracks to cover.

As the flick progresses, Jimmy and Carlisle grow closer (of course) but not before some fun back-and-forth about what they should do with the killer/s when they catch him/them, some juvenile squabbling, uniting to interrogate some thugs and suspects (fun bathhouse scene - a’la Red Heat), and a fight over what music plays on the radio.

Things get serious when the villains discover Jimmy, who with Carlisle is being a real “nuisance”, has a daughter. You can guess the rest. The finale should be a cool little sequence… all takes place at an abandoned power plant.

It’s got your typical array of action-flick supporting characters - Garvey, the fat African-American captain; the slimy weezel shop kid who’ll rat on anyone for a few bucks; the hired goons we’ll all applaud when killed etc - a familiar plot and action beats (it’s rather reminiscent of say, Beverly Hills Cop, Hill’s own Red Heat and even Tango & Cash), and a couple of lead characters who have seemingly been lifted straight out of a buddy-cop movie from the ’80s… and whaddyaknow? it’s just great. Stallone really is determined to take us back to 1985 isn’t he!? Fine with me.

*UPDATE*

Sylvester Stallone has informed StalloneZone that the plot revealed earlier today is in fact FALSE!! Sly says the real plot will be forthcoming. I was happy with the one below but I guess let's see what else Sly has in store for us!!!
