The Expendables Canadian Distributor MAPLE Pictures proudly announced today The Expendables Is The Number One Action Movie In Canada For Three Straight Weeks!! Congrats To MAPLE Pictures And The Expendables!!

The Weekend Actuals for the Box Office were released today and there was no change for The Expendables, the Sunday Estimate held with Expendables bringing in $9.5 Million for 3rd Place. The Expendables was even more successful in Canada though, finishing in 2nd Place at the weekend box office losing to The Last Exorcism by only $100 Thousand!! Another great success story for MAPLE Pictures!!

In another news, Entertainment Weekly released a list today of reasons why Bruce Willis should sign up to star as the villain of Expendables 2...like they conclude, its a no-brainer Bruce!! With The Last Exorcism and Takers duking it out for first overall, The Expendables dropped to third place at the Box Office according to Sunday Estimates with a total of $9.5 Million for the weekend. The film has now collected an ESTIMATED $82 Million overall!! Check back Monday for Actual Numbers for the weekend.

The Monday Actual Figures are in for the weekend Box Office and of course as we all know The Expendables came out on top but the surprise was it was with slightly more than estimated! Sunday estimates had Expendables bringing in $16.5 Million but actual figures show The Expendables on top with $16.9 Million!! Now I know its not a lot more but every little bit helps boost its grand total. The Expendables was an AMAZING film and I want to see it be as successful as possible!!

On a side note, apparently Piranha 3D has already been greenlit for a sequel....how does a movie that opened in 6TH PLACE and made only $10 Million Dollars opening weekend warrant a sequel???

The Expendables held off FIVE new releases as well as current competition to remain on top and take the box office crown for the second week in a row!! Sly and the guys pulled in $16.5 Million according to Sunday Estimates and all together the film has now made an estimated $64.9 Million!! Check back tomorrow for the actual weekend numbers but for now we can all celebrate another box office victory!!

Ryan Seacrest interviewed Sylvester Stallone on the radio station 102.7 KIIS FM in Los Angeles and in the interview Stallone stated he wants Bruce Willis, who played Mr. Church in The Expendables, to return this time AS THE VILLAIN of Expendables 2.
