This article is another one of those, do we even bother believing it? But on the off chance its accurate, Sofia Echo is reporting that Mickey Rourke HAS DROPPED OUT OF Expendables 2 and is being replaced by the recently cast Liam Hemsworth. This of course isn't the first time we've heard this, this article a while back reported the same story. Unfortunately neither source is overly credible so please don't take any of this as fact, I've made the mistake of giving too much credit too often now.

Sofia Echo is also reporting that Nicolas Cage HAS JOINED the cast and that filming will officially kick off October 3rd. I think the one thing we can trust out of this is the production date, filming with the main actors will start in the October 1st-3rd range. So make of this what you will guys, as always time will tell.

Now its a party!! Sly has arrived in Bulgaria to begin work on Expendables 2 reports Novinite. Filming with the primary cast is expected to get underway October 1st. Stallone released this quote to the people of Bulgaria:

"The fight scenes in this movie will be much bigger and better than those in the first part. The scale of production is much larger, so it will get people in Bulgaria feel very proud. I want to tell them that we will have a great time and will spend lots of money here, which will help the economy. At the end everyone will be a winner."

It's a few days earlier then expected but Randy Couture has confirmed through TWITTER today that Expendable 2 'is rolling'!! I'll be on the lookout for set pics etc, if anyone spots some online please let me know and I'll get them posted here!!

*UPDATE*
I've been informed by Dolph Ultimate that Randy's quote may have been a bit misleading, its still likely just the stunt men doing initial prep work that are filming right now and the actual actors likely don't start for a few days yet. But either way, actors are beginning to arrive, things are in motion, Expendables 2 is on its way!!

Not huge news or anything but just thought I'd let you guys know that Randy Couture has confirmed Via TWITTER that he arrived in Bulgaria today to begin filming Expendables 2. The expected first day of shooting is October 1st. Set photos and other production details should start rolling in this week so stay tuned for more!!

Sorry I have been a bit quiet as of late, but we have been really busy filming "The Butcher" aka Six Bullets!

We wrap up shooting in a few days.This has been a pretty wild month for me! This movie was really a lot of fun. Great director, great cast and crew. Who could ask for more?

Feature Film Auditions has unveiled their posting for Expendables 2 and a list (according to them anyways) of all the actors in the cast thus far. Interesting to note is that they list John Travolta as part of the cast and in addition reveal that actress Tamara Ecclestone WILL be in the film playing the role of Tool's daughter Fiona. I reported back on August 31 that she could possibly be joining the cast and if all this is accurate she indeed has!! This site also lists that same revealed plot once again!!

The sequel to the mega-hit ensemble action film "The Expendables" is nearing the start of filming in October, 2012. The casting director is currently casting supporting roles and smaller speaking roles, and the extras casting company is registering extras to work on the film. The original film had a budget of $80 million and made over $274 million dollars at the box office.

The vast majority of the 14-week production for "The Expendables 2" will take place in and around Bulgaria, in addition to locations in Paris, Moscow and China. Story:

The Expendables are back and this time it's personal. After Tool (Mickey Rourke), the heart and soul of the Expendables, is brutally murdered on a mission, his comrades swear to avenge him. Ignoring yesterday's news now, I think its already safe to say Jet Li and Mickey Rourke are in but this adds some hope for those desiring the addition of Nicolas Cage. From his recent interview I'd say its probably still in the negotiations stage for Nic Cage but it appears the production is definitely pushing for him. What do you guys think?

Dolph Ultimate have informed me today that Dolph will begin filming his role as Gunnar Jensen in Expendables 2 on October 1st which should in most likelihood be the start for the majority of the cast so we have a good indication now on that. He's also informed me that he will soon be posting a picture of Dolph Lundgren in an Expendables 2 wardrobe fitting!! You can check out Dolph's new Facebook page HERE!!

In regards to the news story posted yesterday regarding Mickey Rourke, it looks like I've clearly run into what's looking more and more like a bullshit story. As was the case with many of you, I expected the story to spread like wildfire and for other sources to pick it up and hopefully elaborate but nothing has materialized. The Herald Sun listed 'Confidential Reporters' as their sources for the story. Unless someone comes through with a confirmation fairly quick here, I think we can officially discredit Herald Sun as a source. My apologies to all of you for jumping the gun on this one, can't trust any news these days!!
