As reported by Deadline, Nu Image/Millennium Films have released a statement regarding the recent accident on the Expendables 2 set that led to the tragic death of one member of the production and the injuring of another. Names and full details are revealed below:

“Our deepest condolences go to the family of Kun Lieu. His passing is tragic.  Our sympathies also go to Nuo Sun who was seriously injured as a result of the same explosion.  We have been informed his condition has stabilized. He has been transported to Munich, Germany, where he is receiving top medical care from the best specialists,” said Nu Image/Millennium Films.

Regrettably, Bulgarian language newspapers have incorrectly reported that stunt doubles for Jet Li and Sylvester Stallone were involved in the accident.  This is absolutely false and inaccurate.  At the time of the accident neither Li’s or Stallone’s stuntmen were on or near the Second Unit set, nor were any of the film’s main actors, director Simon West or any of the Main Unit crew.

Only Second Unit filming has been temporarily suspended and will resume shortly. The filmmakers continue to work with authorities investigating this accident. Main Unit production has not been interrupted and continues as scheduled.

Deadline has confirmed today that Arnold Schwarzenegger has setup his next action thriller. The film is titled Black Sands and here's what Deadline had to say about the film:

An action film that will be directed by Scott Waugh and Mike McCoy. Financed by Bill Block’s QED, the film will begin production April 1, 2012. In the Skip Woods-scripted film, Schwarzenegger will play a loner who wages war against a ruthless weapons manufacturer and his private army in the Southwest. The tone is Man On Fire meets High Plains Drifter. Block will be selling worldwide territories starting today. Woods scripted A Good Day To Die Hard, which Fox is readying for production. Waugh and McCoy most recently directed Act Of Valor, an action adventure that features actual Navy SEALs. That film was acquired at an auction for distribution by Relativity Media, which paid a $13 million minimum guarantee and a $30 million P&A commitment, and scheduled the film for release on February 17, which is President’s Day Weekend.

Al Ruddy will produce Black Sands with Block and Paul Hanson. Waugh, McCoy and Max Leitman are the executive producers through their Bandito Brothers banner. Schwarzenegger has squarely returned to his action wheelhouse since returning to acting after ending his run as California governor. He’s shooting the Kim Jee-woon-directed The Last Stand for Lionsgate, after completing The Expendables 2.

In other news, we learned a little more today about the stuntman that was killed on the Expendables 2 set. He was Jet Li's stunt double and was of Chinese nationality, to further add to the tragedy he was still very young, only 26 years old. Once again, I think I speak for all of us when I say our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased.

Lastly, our report yesterday of model Veneta Harizanova joining the cast of Expendables 2 was apparently fabricated by the original source so you can completely disregard it.

Variety is reporting that Sylvester Stallone has a new film in the works. The film is titled THE TOMB and Variety describes the film as follows:

Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) is the world's foremost authority on structural security -- specifically prisons. His skills are put to the test when he is framed and put in a high-security prison of his own design and must find the person who put him there. Miles Chapman wrote the action screenplay, with Jason Keller providing a rewrite.

They also noted the following:

Sylvester Stallone is breathing life into "The Tomb" for Summit and Emmett/Furla Films. The two companies have been trying to get the pic off the ground for some time, and the project has seen a revolving door of action vets come and go. Antoine Fuqua was once attached to direct and Bruce Willis originally positioned to star. After Willis moved on, Arnold Schwarzenegger considered the pic for his post-politics big screen return.Schwarzenegger instead chose Lionsgate's "Last Stand" and Fuqua moved on to direct "Southpaw" for MGM, leaving "The Tomb" in a holding pattern.

The Tomb will most likely be Sly's next project after Expendables 2. Sounds awesome to me, what do you guys think?

Darrrik News in Bulgaria is reporting that one stuntman was killed and another wounded during filming for Expendables 2. It's a horrible tragedy and our collective thoughts are with their families. As terrible as this is, its happened several times in the entertainment industry and unfortunately part of the risk of stunt work. Here's hoping Sly dedicates the film to them.

In other news, model Veneta Harizanova may be joining the cast for a small role. Her potential role would only consist of about two days of filming.

Lastly, after more research it appears the news source of Amanda Seyfried being in Expendables 2 seems to be misinterpreted. At this point don't count Amanda Seyfried in but an actress named Amanda will be in the movie, we just need to determine exactly who. Stay tuned.

I know this will be discouraging news to hear, the mysterious role of Timmons it turns out was already cast we just didn't know it yet. My source in Bulgaria checked in today and informed me that Liam Hemsworth is playing the role of Timmons. My source does have limited access and with Hemsworth just arriving on set a few days ago it makes sense he didn't realize that Hemsworth had the role of Timmons. So sorry guys, I know its been a prime topic of interest finding out who Timmons was and count me in as part of the disappointed crowd as well. Not a bash against Hemsworth of course, just was hoping for a surprise name like everyone else. Let's all keep in mind though just because a surprise actor isn't Timmons, doesn't mean another big actor won't be joining. There is still lots of film to shoot so let's wait and see what happens.

My source did also inform me though that an actress with the first name Amanda has joined the cast in a key role. He hasn't seen her on set yet and a first name was all he could find out so far. So let the guessing game begin as to who the actress could be? If I get a confirmation I'll let you guys know!!

*UPDATE* The actress named Amanda has been confirmed as Amanda Seyfried!! Thanks To Mickael For The Heads Up!!

Lastly, Chuck Norris has posted an awesome new set pic to his Facebook page, you can check it out below!!

A couple things for you guys tonight!! It looks like filming is back in full swing, according to this article, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Terry Crews and Liam Hemsworth are all currently filming in Bankso, Bulgaria. Hopefully we can get some new set shots in over the next few days. Here's hoping for some good action shots, I need something a little more exciting.

Also tonight, a video interview has been posted with Megan Nguyen who has been working as a stunt double for Nan Yu (pictured above), Yu is the female lead of Expendables 2 and her character name is Maggie. You can hear all about Megan's time on the set in the interview below!!

Thanks To Elrey For This News!!

Expendables 2 could potentially be in trouble!! Reuters is reporting that Sylvester Stallone is being sued by writer Marcus Webb who is claiming that Sly 'copied' his script which dealt with mercenaries hired to defeat a military dictator. Here's some clips from the article:

-The lawsuit was filed in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday by writer Marcus Webb, who said the screenplay for "The Expendables" is "strikingly similar and in some places identical" to his work entitled "The Cordoba Caper."

-Webb seeks unspecified damages for copyright infringement and an order from the court stopping further infringement in any sequel by Stallone, his credited co-author David Callaham, Millennium Films, its Nu Image Films unit and Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation.

-Stallone's publicist, Michelle Bega, declined to comment.

-According to the lawsuit, Webb registered "The Cordoba Caper" screenplay and a short story with the same title and plot with the U.S. Copyright Office in June 2006. Between 2006 and 2009, the lawsuit said, the screenplay was made widely available by Webb for consideration in the movie industry.

-"There can be no dispute that Stallone and/or Callaham had access to and copied protectable elements of the screenplay," the lawsuit said.

So what do you guys think? Would Sly copy another script? To me this just looks like a case of somebody wanting an undeserved piece of the profit pie.

According to this Bulgarian report, Bulgarian Celebrity Ann G was spotted running with Sylvester Stallone, Scott Adkins and Randy Couture. It's unknown if this was just a friendly workout together or if Ann G is possibly part of the cast. You can visit her website here and she's pictured above.

Lastly, this Bulgarian report claims that both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis WILL BE RETURNING to Bulgaria in Mid-November to do more filming for Expendables 2. Wait till we hear it from a few more sources though guys before you call this completely legit.

Thanks To Elrey For The Heads Up!!

Jean-Claude Van Damme has posted a new message to his fans on Facebook as well as more pictures from Avi Lerner's birthday party!! Here's his message!!

I have met with Mr. Stallone, yesterday, who has asked the designers to make a great outfit for me in the Expendables 2. As he is a smart director, he has a very good vision about my lead villain character in the movie! He also asked me to train harder and become in the best shape I can be. Well, let's do it...

Thanks to Elrey, Christian & Deespefd For The Heads Up!!

Bulgarian source Novini has confirmed that Vin Diesel WILL NOT BE a part of Expendables 2. Diesel is just the latest actor to be taken off the list, this past week Antonio Banderas, John Travolta and Nicolas Cage were all taken out of the running. So who will play Timmons? With all those actors out who would you guys recommend? Keep in mind this is a 'suit role' comparable to the role of Munroe played by Eric Roberts in the first film.

I've added a poll in the menu to your right with some of my choices, make a vote if you agree or disagree with any of my choices!!
