THE EXPENDABLES 3 AND THE MECHANIC 2 CONFIRMED
After making over $300 Million at the global box office, there was really very little doubt that a third Expendables film was on the way and today COLLIDER was able to confirm it as Nu Media/Millennium Films were spotted selling the international distribution rights at the American Film Market. It's great news for Expendables fans as it tells us two things. The first thing being the most obvious is that the film IS ON THE WAY and the second being IT WILL BE SOON. They aren't going to sell rights for a movie that is still a long way out. My guess is we will see Expendables 3 in August 2014.
The more surprising news is that The Mechanic, which starred Jason Statham in the title role is getting a sequel. As Collider's article points out the original film was not a success. It made $51 Million worldwide on a $40 Million dollar budget. I just hope its not a direct to video sequel with a different actor. I enjoyed The Mechanic and welcome a sequel as long as it has Statham in the lead role.

JCVD COMING BACK FOR EXPENDABLES 3?
I posted this video back in August but I'll post it again as it's brought up a few comments. Jean-Claude Van Damme mentions in this video that his brother 'Claude Vilain' will show up in Expendables 3. Everyone needs to keep their excitement in check. While its entirely possible that JCVD could be back, it may also just amount to wishful thinking on his part.

DOLPH LUNDGREN AND RANDY COUTURE JOIN 'RUSH'
FROM MOVIEHOLE
Giorgio Serafini is in talks to direct “Rush”, an L.A-set crime thriller headlined by Dolph Lundgren.
The Voltage Pictures production has also enlisted Randy Couture, Lundgren’s co-star in “The Expendables” films, and Vinnie Jones, currently in “Fire with Fire” starring Bruce Willis, for roles in the film.
The movie, said to be in the tradition of “To Live and Die in L.A.”, we’re told is a sexy, action-packed crime-thriller in which the people and places of Los Angeles are as much a focus of the film as the action sequences will be.
Deals with Serafini (“Game of Death”) and the actors are being made, with an official announcement on “Rush” expected to be made at AFM later this week.
Lundgren next appears in the science-fiction actioner “Battle of the Damned”, before appearing in R. Ellis Frazier’s contract-killer thriller “Repeater” opposite Michael Jai White, and Eric Styles’s “Tomb of the Dragon”, with Scott Adkins. He’s also attached to a new TV series “Rescue 3″, scheduled to premiere next fall.
With Ron Howard’s upcoming racecar-driver flick also titled “Rush”, it’s likely Voltage will change the title of this one. But for AFM, it remains… “Rush”.
