The Tomb is sounding better with each new announcement!! AICN picked up the news today that Producer Mark Canton has confirmed that Jim Caviezal (The Passion Of The Christ, TV's Person Of Interest) has joined the cast of The Tomb playing the Warden of the prison where Sly and Arnold end up together in. It wasn't revealed if he's a villain or not. Either way though I think he's a solid addition and a terrific actor. Person Of Interest is one of my favorite shows on television right now because Caviezal delivers such a solid performance in an action and dramatic role week in and week out.

For those new to the film, THE TOMB follows Ray Breslin (Stallone) who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills. But all Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design. Schwarzenegger, in the role of Church, plays a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey. He’s the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.

The Tomb will be directed by Mikael Hafstrom (1408, The Rite) and will be shot in Louisiana this spring for presumably a release sometime in 2013.
