IGN has learned that an unannounced Expendables 2 video game has been in development. Here is their scoop on the details of the game:

The Australian Classification Board appears to have inadvertently revealed an unannounced video game adaptation of The Expendables 2 is on the cards.

"The Expendables 2 Videogame" was added to the Board's list of most recent decisions this morning. The game is rated MA15+, with the consumer advice noting strong violence.

Ubisoft is listed as the author, publisher and applicant but local representatives have declined comment. No further information on platforms or genre is available.

Have to keep a close eye on that one as its sure to be a must buy for Expendables fans!! Thanks to Glen and ericinho for the scoop on that!!

Also, ericinho and Mike have alerted us to a new French banner for Expendables 2, you can check it out to your left!!

I play video games, so I'm definitely interested in this. Sounds like it'll be a downloadable game on XBLA and other systems, I assume.

I just hope they don't call it "Expendables 2." There hasn't even been a first game yet. Just call it "The Expendables."

I just hope Vann-Damme does the Mo-Cap for his spin kick.

I'm hesitant to get excited for an Expendables 2 videogame. While it's definitely a prime concept for a game, movie tie-in games tend to be awful. I'll wait till reviews come out

while I am not what one may refer to as a 'hardcore gamer', I am DEFINITELY a huge fan of a$$-kicking, action games on the ol' Playstation 3 i.e. the CALL OF DUTY / MODERN WARFARE series and the new MORTAL KOMBAT. It'd be beyond AWESOME if elements of these games were combined for an 'Expendables'-based game. But the sad truth is that, for the most part, games based on film franchises tend to be not much than quickly-produced, cash-ins that aren't memorable. Still, I may be proven wrong (Ubisoft have a fairly decent track record). As I recall, there is also a 'Rambo' game in development...

The poster is great! the film opens August 22 in France but I think there will be a preview at the Grand Rex early August as the first Expendables

I tend to agree about film-beased video games never reaching their full potential. That could very well be the case here, too, but I'll probably buy it anyway. I think it'd be cool if it was actually set up like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance where the player can switch to any member of the team at any given time. To be able to play as Sly, Arnold, Bruce, Chuck, or Dolph would be amazing! Let's hope they take their time with his game and make it good.

sick idea, it would be awesome if they included a lot of hidden characters to unlock, imagine if Charles Bronson or Bruce Lee could be in your party

I am asking the same question. Why? I mean, in EX2 TV spots they show a good amount of Chuck Norris scenes, however for some odd reasons you can hardly notice him on the poster... That's really weird, if you ask me.

I hope this game will really come, especially if they make it kinda like Max Payne 3 or 50 cent: blood on the sand which was quite amusing aswell. Just please, NO first person, I want third person. It's much more fun and allows you to see the characters you play, I want to see the strong arms of Terry Crews hitting someone's face in, I want to see Sly taking cover behind a wall and shooting and see Jason Statham shooting people up and slicing his knife... man I hope this game will come true, it'll be awesome! I'd buy and play it even if it's not so good XD
