It was an awesome day for Expendables fans!! Two new posters have been revealed as well as some new photos of Dolph Lundgren as Gunnar Jensen. Also of interest, you can check out this article on Sly Stallone being the 'Alpha Male' on the Expendables 2 set.

The 'grindhouse' style Expenables 2 poster comes from this year's Comic Con. For all of us who can't attend, here's hoping some copies show up on Ebay!!

The other new poster is the poster released in Belgium and possibly a few other countries.

Patrick, i will be at comic con thursday just for the EX2 panel and then i'll go home cause i have no interest for any other comic book and super hero stuff they have there....

Has anyone noticed that Yu Nan isn't even listed in the credits on the poster? I find that interesting since she clearly has a significant role in the movie. Charisma Carpenter and Amanda Ooms are listed and I'm pretty sure their parts won't be as big.

Indeed it's kind of strange, all the more so as Yu Nan is a much more prominent actress than Carpenter and Ooms (though she is prominent mainly in China and France)

that truly was an interesting read. an opening of 15 minutes action sounds great, and it fits with what Terry Crews said some time ago: 'in the first minutes we kill more enemies than we did in the entire first movie.' Perhaps they can use the Sneaking around at a fancy party idea for the next one because that sounds pretty cool aswell, something entirely different and it could be hilarious because even in tuxedos these guys dont look and act fancy and stylish at all :P
I'm not that much a fan of the idea of the director writing the script around areas he could find, but it's The Expendables so as long as there's great action and cool oneliners it can work. But please, let there be some character development aswell.
And I agree with Stallone about EX1, the first movie seemed to have a sort of identity crisis not really knowing what it wanted to be. Now they do seem to know.
