Early Estimates Have Expendables 2 Finishing In 5th Place

BOXOFFICE.COM has released their early estimates for the weekend and they have Expendables 2 finishing in 5th place with $3.2 Million. That should put EX2 into the $80 Million dollar range domestically. EX2 may be able to push into the $90 Million dollar range domestically but that looks like where it will end as the competition is picking up over the next few weeks and its total will begin to rapidly fall. We will likely have to wait a few days before we get a better sense of the new international numbers for EX2.

I'd expect another big weekend from China and It Hasn't even opened in Japan yet so It should hit $300 million worldwide easily...

International Release Dates just very, some movies come out several months apart internationally. I know some movies that are out on Blu-Ray in North America are just coming out in theatres in the UK for example.

Why is everyone acting like EX 3 is gonna be the last in the series? Has anyone official stated that?...I can see the films being made for years, It doesn't have to have Stallone,Willis,Arnold to be a success they can pass the torch to Statham (who has a few successful film franchises)

They can bring in a new crew of actors (some old/some young) to reboot the series...

The Rock,Vin Diesel,Mark Whalberg,Jason Statham,Jeremy Renner,Tom Hardy,Channing Tatum...etc

It doesn't have to be a film to honour old school actors

Yeah, I don't see why everyone is saying that EX3 will be the last. If they keep on putting them out at the same pace, Sly should be able to do around 5-6 at least. Why not?

The expendables 2 blu ray needs a directors cut that is 20 minutes longer than the movie. For ex3, they should get Iko uwais from the raid as a new mercenary and the fight choreographer.

@Mickey: He's an awesome choice for a new mercenary, hell yea and also i wouldnt mind seeing from the raid is Joe Taslim, hell he's coming out in the new fast 6 movie and i wana see how well he does in that. If they could fight like that in The Raid? Just imagine what they can do in EX3
