The official weekend numbers are in and they are pretty positive for Expendables 2 considering it was the worst weekend at the Box Office since 9/11. It was estimated that Expendables 2 finished in 4th Place with $4.7 Million. Today we learned that Expendables 2 actually finished in 3rd Place and made slightly more then estimated with $4.9 Million.

Grossing $18.75 million in 23 countries from September 7 to 9, The Expendables 2 relegated former box office champ The Dark Knight Rises to third place with earnings of $16.285 million, despite that film's being screened in 65 countries.
The Expendables 2 finished third in North America over the weekend with $4.95 million, grossing a total of $75 million.
EX2 also opened in China last week but the numbers are not in yet. If it follows the same pace than its predecessor, EX2 should gross $11 million in its opening weekend in China alone taking it closer to the run rate of the prequel.
We don't have an official number yet but Expendables 2 should now be over the $200 Million dollar mark worldwide.
