2011's The Raid: Redemption may quite possibly be the best choreographed film we've ever seen. One thing we can say with utmost certainty is that If you're into hardcore action this flick is guaranteed to satisfy you. Ultra violence runs rampant, with people getting their body parts cut off, gunshots to their eyes, stab wounds to the face. This has it all in spades! The tagline on this flick is that it is the best action film in decades, and it's hard to disagree with that. A sequel to this entitled 'The Raid 2: Berandal' is set for a North American release date of March 28th, so in less than two months we'll be able to find out if Raid 2 can match the action and intensity of it's predecessor (although from what we've heard & seen it does!)
"In Jakarta, Indonesia, Lieutenant Wahyu organizes the invasion of an apartment building that is the safe house of the powerful and cruel drug lord Tama and his gang. The SWAT team breaks in the building but one lookout sees and warns the gangsters and the police force is trapped on the seventh floor. They learn that Lt. Wahyu has not informed his superiors about the operation. Now the police officers have to fight with limited ammunition against the armed and dangerous gangsters" Written by Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
