First I'll go over the things that I appreciated in the movie, and then move on to the major problems I personally had with Terminator: Genisys.
Jai Courtney and Emilia Clarke come across as high school students acting out the characters in a play. They're both very young looking and have the personalities and appearances of brain dead super models. Courtney's Kyle Reese does not look like he's lived in hell his whole life...He looks more like his rugby teams having a bad season. Michael Biehn's Reese seemed mentally scarred and on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
I'm giving Terminator: Genisys a 7.5
It's a solid action flick and it's great to see Arnold back as the Terminator. Make no mistake though, the film has no reason to exist and adds nothing new to the Terminator franchise.
If we have to have another Terminator movie lets get away from the characters of Sarah Connor, John Connor and Kyle Reese. In the entire Terminator universe there has to be other important characters that we can use to tell fresh, new and exciting stories about...
