"A former Spanish armed forces sharpshooter and Bosnian war veteran who fears nothing, Galgo is sharp and charismatic, with a bark that matches his bite. The only thing faster than Galgo's tongue is his pistol draw." Quote: "This is insane...courageous, but insane."
"Hi, this is Dolph Lundgren. Welcome to our new page www.facebook.com/SkinTradeMovie. I just wrapped principal photography on the action-thriller Skin Trade, after shooting for 10 weeks in Bangkok and Vancouver, B.C.
This picture is about human trafficking and is very special to me. I started working on the script 7 years ago, after reading a news story about a van full of girls that were to be smuggled from Mexico to the United States. The van was left by the traffickers along the border and all the thirty girls inside died from heat stroke and suffocation.
I have two young daughters myself and I felt that this is a story that has to be told. I used that incident as inspiration for a scene in SKIN TRADE, a film produced by Mike Selby, Craig Baumgarten and myself."
Lundgren was also interviewed by CNN's Richard Quest about the movie:
"Well GO USA Entertainment has acquired North American film rights to Jean-Claude Van Damme's Swelter, a modern-day Western also starring Alfred Molina, Lennie James, Catalina Moreno and Freya Tingley.
Keith Parmer directed the ensemble movie about four men who blast their way out of jail 10 years after robbing more than $100 million from the Luxor Casino in Las Vegas. They track down their former accomplice, who never got caught, to a dying desert town. The only hitch: he has no memory and is now a sheriff. But to save his new life, he must remember his violent history.
The deal was brokered by Well Go's Doris Pfardrescher and The Exchange's Brian O'Shea. The Exchange produced and financed the film with Film Invaders and Grand Peaks, and sold it to independent distributors around the globe.
"We are delighted to release Swelter to the North American audience, an action-packed modern western bringing back JCVD to his fans," said Pfardrescher.
Well Go USA, which focus on genre titles and Asian cinema, hasn't announced a release date. Swelter may only be available on VOD and other digital platforms."
We've also learned that Swelter will be shown at the Newport Beach Film Festival on Sunday, April 27th.
