"I'd love to do another Rambo, but maybe if he works in Las Vegas"
"Maybe it's run its course."
A fan who was in attendance that night sent us this report,
"Hello Trevor -
well, I attended the 'Evening with Sylvester Stallone' event last night and it was pretty cool. Sly kept the audience engaged with some great anecdotes (though I must admit, being such a huge fan there wasn't much he spoke of that I never already knew). After the initial on-stage interview with Jonathan Ross (which was interspersed with trailers for ESCAPE PLAN and GRUDGE MATCH - 'not enough time' for THE EXPENDABLES 3 teaser), Sly took some questions from the audience (I lined up but never got a chance to ask a question).
Of THE EXPENDABLES 3, he said that Mel Gibson was great to work with and that Kelsey Grammer will be a revelation. Looks like CREED is definitely happening. When the subject of RAMBO 5 was brought up, he sort of laughed it off and said it was doubtful at this point and that he looks forward to making 'smaller' and more 'character-based' roles, similar to COP LAND."
Big thanks to Snake-Eyes for sending us that!

"Sylvester Stallone has insisted he is more than just a muscle head actor. The Hollywood action man, twice Oscar nominated for his Rocky films, confessed he gets frustrated at his reputation as a thuggish actor. During a 90-minute question and answer session with Jonathan Ross at the London Palladium, Stallone said: "It depends what day of the week it is."
"Sometimes it doesn't bother me, the next day I'm like, 'Where do they live!'".
"All of the Rockys I wrote every word, but still, people assume you are Rocky.
"They still think you are this muscle head.
"One day I think I've got it together, the next day I want to kill everyone."
The lack of recognition is not limited to film critics though, even his current Grudge Match co-star Robert De Niro seemed to take a dim view of his abilities.
"We were doing a scene and I said 'Bobby, Is it me or do you feel the same way?
"The first time I'm doing a scene with you I think you're terrible.
"I'm saying my lines, but I'm not believing anything you're saying back to me, you're just winging it, you're looking at the lines, you go back and forth.'
"And he said, 'I thought you sucked too'."
The two are in reality great friends, as he is with many of his contemporaries.
But it is the British connection in his successful Expendables franchise who Stallone admitted is his current favourite, and he revealed in the third film - due in UK cinemas in August - Jason Statham might finally take a knocking.
"You may see history made in the next Expendables," he said.
"I actually believe there's a bloody nose on the horizon.
"We have a great rapport together.
"You know he doesn't do that very often, he's very straight [in his films], but when he smiles, when he jokes around, he's good."
Post production on Expendables 3 and painting is filling in the days for the 67-year-old at the moment, but he has left the door open for a return to his iconic roles ... in some form.
"I'd love to do another Rambo, but maybe if he works in Las Vegas," he joked.
"Maybe it's run its course."
"People think it's Rocky 7, but it's not.
"I have a supporting role, but it's great to be able to take that character who's actually not well and he's starting to pass that knowledge on while he still has time.
"I sort of become Mickey Goldmill, I find myself almost channeling him."
Grudge Match is in UK cinemas on January 24."
Tony Jaa wrote this on his Facebook page recently,
