Here is some information from Castle Film Studios on Seagal's next project, sent to us by Marco at Steven Seagal Italia!
The Mercenary: Absolution, directed by Keoni Waxman and shooting entirely in Romania, began on March 17th and continues through the 7th of April. The cast is led by Steven Seagal, and includes Byron Mann and Vinnie Jones. Castel Film Studios is providing the facilities.
This action movie is produced by Steamroller Production and Voltage Pictures, and it will be distributed directly on video, the same as the other feature shot by Keoni Waxman in Romania in 2013, A Good Man, where Seagal was playing the same character, Alexander Coates.
It’s the fifth time that Seagal is filming in Romania. He also shot Lauro Chartrand’s Born to Raise Hell in 2009, Richard Crudo’s Against the Dark in 2008, and in 2005 Attack Force and Shadow Man, directed by Richard Keusch. All the projects used Castel Film Studios as the services provider.
During his many visits to Romania, Seagal has also become involved in local charities. He donated to the victim of the floods of a Moldavian village, he spoke with children about the danger of drugs, and he even adopted a stray dog."
I think that we can speak for the majority of you reading this that we want to see Steven Seagal back on the silver screen with Expendables 4 as oppose to more direct to DVD features!
